Datura Inoxia Release Party

Charles Mantis will celebrate the release his full-length record Datura Inoxia in Chicago this coming Thursday June 29th at The California Clipper.  The night will feature The Nate Lepine Trio and Leslie Beukelman on vocals.  Drop in for a dark night of beats, jazz and a free copy of Datura Inoxia.

Faraway Plants – Logan Arts Festival

Faraway plants is playing the monument stage this Saturday June 24th at 2:30.  This weeks lineup will feature Quin Kirchner on drums, Anthony Bruno on Saxophone, Bass and myself on electronics and trumpet.

Ralph “Soul” Jackson record release party June 23rd at Martyrs’

 

ImageIn the next few weeks Ralph “Soul” Jackson will be promoting the release of his LP on Rabbit Factory.  The tour will visit Memphis, TN Thursday 6/14, Muscle Shoals, AL 6/15, Birmingham, AL 6/16, Phenix City, AL 6/17 and Chicago, IL Saturday 6/23 at Martyrs’.  The live band will include the authentic horn section from the record featuring Anthony Abbinanti on bari sax, Tom Riley on tenor sax, Andrew Zelm on trombone and myself on trumpet.  Buy tickets here!      RSVP!

Charles Mantis and Everypeople Workshop at Transistor May 18th

If you are in Chicago for the NATO summit or plainly would like to avoid it Charles Mantis will be playing Transistor Friday May 18th with Everypeople Workshop.  Transistor is located at 3819 N Lincoln Ave in North Center.  It’s just a short walk or cab ride from the Irving Park brown line stop.   The venue/shop is located in a perfect neighborhood to grab dinner before and drinks after.  A special thanks to Doug Abram of Black Bear Combo and Rat Snake Turbo Rat for all his work on this cat poster!  RSVP HERE!
