In 2014 I had the pleasure of working as an arranger with JC Brooks and the Uptown Sound, The Million Dollar Quartet, The CCM Jazz Ensemble, The Al Sofia Orchestra and a long list of private clients needing wedding ceremony and event music. I’m looking forward to booking many new projects in the coming year!
“Puddle Jumper” is an edited live performance I played with TAL at Rodan in Chicago.
“Run” is a studio recording that includes first takes of improvised material by the saxophonist/composer Anthony Bruno. Elements from a live improvisation of the piece were later included in this recording.
Analog instruments have added a whole new richness to the sound of my music. The Roland Juno provides that warm classic tone used in the music of groups such as Sigur Ros and Justice. A vintage synthesizer compares to computer generated sounds as Belgian dark chocolate would compare to a snickers bar. Synths have recently became a bigger part of my live performance in comprovisational collaboration with TAL. You can catch this current yet unique mix of live composition at Rodan in Wicker Park every other Sunday.
